Overcoming The Addictions Being A Christian

Talking about the addictions there are many types of addictions which gained control over the persons who gave it a small place as a habit in their daily life and that habit took all the control switch of the nervous system and it is now reigning us like a dictator. All of us very well know that how hard it is to say ‘NO’ to any such addictive syndrome. We will see more about the type of addictions and also how to overcome them.

∆ The addictions which are to be considered to be dangerous.

The addiction itself is dangerous to us. There are no such a thing called good addiction because we people never addict to any good, which occurs in rare cases. Because it's never attractive.
Coming to the types of addictions we have to study ourself and this is really the hardest thing ever. We can know about others but it is really hard to know about ourselves. This is because we can’t focus on us that much. And it is not a wonder to say that some of the addictions we can’t even know that we are a prey to that addiction. The types of addiction depends upon the personal views and the way of behaviour, attitude etc.

Now let us start with the blessed thing. Let us see what the Bible speaks about the addictive nature or the addictions.

For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world.

1 John 2:16

The desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes. We all are human beings, we are not supernatural or invincible, we are not dominators before the power of GOD  and all his creations are wonderful. And here, we all will fall, definitely will fall for the desires of flesh and eye pleasures at one point or the other. Since we are very weak for our desires.

But all these kind of temptations and eye desire had overcome by one man, two thousand years ago and He is Jesus Christ. It's been really hard to agree with the Christian facts because of keeping these addictions on the table. One can say it is impossible to stay in control when we are offered with all the earthly pleasures and all the inner dreams come true. And some might defend that this is the dreams which are coming true. But the truth is it's a sin. The biggest sin that has never been forgiven, unless a blood of an innocent person spilt and a pure blood shed on the earth and flow like a river .

Jesus came to earth not in an immortal form. But with the human nature, like you and me. He was given the healing power and all the control. But do you think he isn’t provided with the power of destruction and damaging? The one who can restore the death to life can’t he make the live to death by slaying and cursing with the power?

This is strange right! He died on the cross with all the pain and if He had called for the help didn’t the Father sent an angel with the power of moving beside His cross and disappearing itself for not to be noticed by people there and serve suffering Christ on cross? Think about it?? It may be happen if and only if the God is a gambler. But He is not a Cheater unlike all of us. He play the fair game that's why He paid the price for us on that brutal cross by offering His life for us, still we are being sinners He died for us. What kind of love is this? The unconditional love on our perishing species, has washed our sins and made us to stand on this earth.



Only the suffered can understand the suffering :

We are human beings and we go through many problems daily. Yea, because we have emotions, we have feelings, we have sensibility. In these days of the revolutionised technology it brings many questions to our young running minds. ‘Jesus saves us, Jesus comforts us, Jesus forgives us’ Yea we believe in this because we are Christians. Our forces forcibly make us to believe. But, when we come into the focus of the non-believers and atheists it's hard for us to stand firm with our faith, which is developed by a ‘force’
We have to develop a new faith which will let us to answer them and which will guide us towards Christ. But, the question is ‘how?’ . It is only possible when we think practically. Go beyond the hallucination and imagination. Think, think and think and explore.

Let us dig some gold to know this, Jesus wipes our tears away…!
One may say ‘How does this possible?? how the high honor, almighty come down to the mud earth and wipe your sinful tears??? Where is his Godly behaviour?? Is he a God or a servant??’

And we answer to that question.
My dear friend, The truth is Our Lord Jesus is Most holy and the truth is also He is a servant divine.
And yes he touches us and wipe our tears and comfort and strengthen us

BECAUSE,
HE SUFFERED WITH PAIN IN HUMAN FORM. HE WAS TEMPTED LIKE ME AND YOU DO. HE SUFFERED ALL PAINS, HE SHED TEARS, HE WAS DEVALUED …

Let me say a thing. HE won on them to show us a way by marking his footprints to guide us and lead us into the world without vanity. And our God is Holy, he didn’t reject the sinners, because it is not a Godly behaviour to do. He is our saviour, our strength and our mentor.


So how if Jesus Christ fall for the earthly pleasures? What can be our present existence if he does?
He had stood against all the temptations and took a victory. And it is in the form of human only, he won. The power is in His Faith and Love on His Father. The supplication by the Prayer and the commitment he had. He is a full vision of the covenant . Father sent His son to earth to get rammed by Romans. But, what made Him to do this. It is our weakness and we are under the trap of the universal player Satan. He began to play with us, keeping us as a bait, using us. He only raised the questions in different manners. He asks ‘God said that lust is a sin,then why does He created the beauty?’ Many such questions are agreeable and they make to show our support and later He takes us completely and makes us to completely convince with the logical drama.

And because of all these phenomenal plots we are just becoming a prey to the Satanic plots. What are we gonna do? . Can’t we do anything to stop this? The answer is exactly ‘N0′ because the world in which we are living is a guesthouse. We don’t belong here. All these attractions are a trap to destroy our account in the eternal world of God where we actually belong. And these attractions are responsible for the falling down and so do our lust for such things.

So why all these? Why these additional attractions exist? Some people will say that we can overcome these addictions very easily. But, no never an addiction leaves a person that much easy. It takes and tests all the passion that got in us. Whatever the addiction is. In final stage, it corrupts us.

Think about an alcoholic addictive person. He will do anything for it, it doesn’t matter to him the family values, the pride and the fame, moral values, or even the relationships. He only needs the alcohol thats it and nothing.

Eventually he will lose everything he had. His talent will be jammed with the rust. Nothing can apply any lubricants to make it run again. And the last thing is, he is left alone. Not only alcoholic but every kind of addiction is in this way.

Addictions like:

☆Alcohol or drug intake,smoking.

☆Playing rummy or card games, the sports bettings.

☆Sexual addictions like watching porn on television or internet.

☆The regular practise of visiting the brothels and strip clubs.

☆And so on………

All the above mentioned addictions are now in lead. And beyond these addictions many other categories of addictions are present.

Remember there are no good addictions which are to be defended. All types of addictions later bring the outcome of bad. And a person will not feel shy to it. And mostly he/she will be with 101% confidence to reach and achieve and finish that addiction. And this confidence is higher than the confidence that shown for the career and job .

HOW TO GET OUT OF THE ADDICTIONS?

This is the actual in need topic . ‘What happened is happened, let the past go. Now i wanna become a new person and please restore all my Faith and that prayerful moments again. I will seek forgiveness from God for what i've did’. Saying these words one will undergo a crucial pain in their heart. Because i know what it is like because i suffered a lot (and still suffering too) with the pain of guiltiness. Our Father is Love. He forgives us and He already did it on the cross by giving away His own life for our sins and cleanse our hearts. But we are human beings.

At this point our brain doesn’t allow us to think. It won’t let us to pray. If we kneel down to pray, the sin plays its visuals in our eyes. We never listened, we fall-apart people now. We know exactly that our God is loving us and deliver us, but the feeling of guiltiness rules us. And this is really unexplainable and to a person who is not with any addiction it's unimaginable. But as we are flesh. We are at some stage all of us became addicted to something .

After this our first work is to reach a keyboard and type in search box “How to get out of this and that?”
Well everybody of us is similar with this. But, after reading all the data there it looks completely weird as we can’t find any solutions which are helpful to us. Even if there are really helpfull answers we are then not in the situation of understanding them. This is the truth. The principles there might not be helpful to our problem.
Then what we have to do with our addiction? Even when we approach the word of God it is a strange book too. We know why because our mind is hacked by the addiction virus.

Then how can we get out of this? Is there no way out? Well there is nothing that is impossible. I have said that even the Bible reading sometimes won’t help us out. But,this is the only way and only principle we have to apply here. Since we believe in the HOLY SPIRIT. Somehow we know what and how it works when we are in need of help. And this is not easy to keep up by bringing our spirit into the action to collide with the Holy spirit and for this purpose we have to be outside of our bodily nature. I don’t mean that we have to practise some magic to keep our bodily thoughts. All we have to do is to develop a strong passion and the will power and the Faith in God to get this mode triggered.
Once we attain a form of spiritual thinking and later on we can focus how to get the control over the addiction.

There are some stages we have to pass through to get the shot on our addiction. But remember this is our addiction, we have to deal it sensually and sensitively.

The stages are:

⇨Identifying the addiction.

⇨Analysing of the ‘source’ for the addiction.

⇨Figuring out what it is the reason leading towards that source.

⇨Some written work on paper about our addiction and reading it thoroughly as many times as possible so that we can get a clarity.

⇨Pointing the benefits and losses of the addiction. (However an addiction will have losses but not the benefits) but, still pointing them will help us to pass through it.

⇨The final stage is To be confident and with commitment on what we explored and on the decisions which we took.

And some will say that to discuss with the other persons to get a relief from the trap. Yes ,and this is helpful too. But we have to be careful on the point that the matter which we shared with the second person. Make sure he/she will not make it to a third eye. And also you must confirm that the person won’t blackmail you or discourage you or try to offend you by what you share.

Keeping all this in our mind. We have to be very thoughtful. And to overcome this we have to seek God’s help. With all the things going . We have to keep on praying and solve our problem .
And remember, we have started this and we have to end this.
